police用法

　　指警察時(shí)往往前面有定冠詞the，指“多個(gè)警察”時(shí)，前面有時(shí)有數(shù)詞，有時(shí)沒有。可以說a few police，six or sevenpolice。例如：

　　We have reported the matter to the police.

　　我們將這件事報(bào)告了警察。

　　Several hundred police were on duty in the street.

　　幾百名警察在街上執(zhí)行任務(wù)。

　　注意：police作主語時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞應(yīng)該是復(fù)數(shù)形式。例如：

　　The police are looking for the little boy.

　　警察正在尋找小男孩。

　　policeman 是可數(shù)名詞。復(fù)數(shù)形式是policemen，說“一個(gè)警察”通常用“a policeman”。例如：

　　If you want to know the way,ask a policeman.

　　如果你想要打聽路怎么走，可以去問警察。
